While working for the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney I supervised David and his team who were responsible for the care and maintenance of the extensive tree collection in the Gadens and Domain.
The work included: assessments for safety and health; remedial pruning; tree removals and; management of a computerised tree database.
David coordinated all work of the Arboriculture team and managed the trees in a highly professional manner. I could always rely on David’s expertise and knowledge to accomplish work, often of a complex or technical nature.
David had the respect of his team and peers through his commitment and management skills.

I recently engaged David to provide advice on a significant Eucalypt which had been struggling for years. The tree had a number of minor issues which as David explained “should not have the impact that the tree outwardly displays”
He spent a significant amount of time before finally revealing a major fault below ground which had eluded us for years.
